^Lot 215a Colt 1855 Root Model 2 28 cal #10623

Cased in old velvet lined partition style, casing not lined in 19th Century and probably a writing desk originally or letter box. Correct 28 Colt mold in good condition, pewter eagle flask of same era, ely cap tin all included. The root remains in fair to good condition with lightly cleaned gray patina finish with overall light pin prick pitting. Good markings on bbl and fairly good edges. Very good grips with 75-85% varnish showing minor wear at high points and edges. The action is not working properly and bores on cyl pin from removal. Matching visible numbers. An entry level cased Colt root revolver that would improve with minor restorations.
